Hey everyone!
So I spent the majority of this evening upgrading from Windows 7 Ultimate to the Windows 8 Release Preview. I've used it for about an hour, and so far I've broken it twice.
Other than those malfunctions (which were mainly due to my derping on a new OS), Windows 8 seems quite nice. Before I go any further, I have to get something off my chest:
I HATE METRO!
Maybe it's just a matter of getting used to a new layout, but this "metro" bullshit is just confusing. Most of it is run through Windows Live, and I ended up deactivating most of the "tiles" that showed up on the first boot up. The metro layout is very clunky on a desktop, and would definitely work much better on a touch screen.
While I type this blog post, I'm listening to music. Normally I throw my iPod onto the dock, but this time I decided to check out the Music "tile". I'm not quite sure if it is meant to replace the standard "Windows Media Player", but one thing I love about it is the collage of album artwork as a background. It just looks very personal and unique.
Anyway, I'm going to much about with this some more. I have yet to see how my games run, but will definitely test that tonight or tomorrow.
Until next time,
- Andre :3
